The Middle MAX Menace Arm by Matthews is an industry-anticipated support stand, also known as a pipe boom, with augmented capabilities that answer the needs of the lens-creating community. Middle MAX's accessible design focuses on performance and storage, having a reach of over 12' and a weight capacity of 80 lb that allow it to support equipment up to six feet below grade—all while fitting at 64" in storage. It provides great maneuverability thanks to its 10 x 3" puncture-proof tires and a hand truck-style steering handle, and it supports three lock-off or fixed-position keys as well as a standard self-leveling feature.
The two upright arms of the frame are slotted at the two open ends to retain the piano wire woven through the fabric to make up the fourth side of the frame without causing a shadow
Open End Frames are made of spring steel with a 3/8" pin and support which can be used to hang the Scrim from the C Stand handle when not in use
